Fresh violence leave 1 civilian dead, 6 injured

KABUL (Pajhwok): One civilian was killed and six other were wounded as a result of violent incidents in different parts of the country on Sunday, officials said.

Nangarhar governor’s spokesman Attaullah Khogyani told Pajhwok Afghan News three civilians were injured in a Taliban-planted bomb in Chaparhar district early Sunday morning.

The wounded were in stable health condition, the official said, adding the explosion in Patiri locality also damaged a Hino truck.

Elsewhere in the province, police seized three-kilogram explosives in Dur Baba district, a statement from the governor’s house said. No one has been arrested in connection with the explosives

According to another report, one man was killed and three other were wounded in a clash between two families in the Bagram district of central Parwan province.

 Mohammad ZamanMamozai, the provincial police chief, said the incident occurredbe tween cousins in the Mahigar locality of the district early in the morning.

In central Logar province, Afghan Special forces killed the Taliban’s telecommunication chief and captured three of his associates.

Salem Saleh, the governor’s spokesman, said Mullah Amanullah was killed during the Afghan Special Forces’ operation in Baraki Barak district.

Meanwhile, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid rejected the government claim of killing their telecommunication chief for the province.

Police in northern Kunduz province detained six individuals over sexual harassment and other illicit activities on the outskirt of the provincial capital.

The crime branch chief, Col. Wais Din Talash confirmed the arrest of the six people who are currently under police investigation.
